Requirement for Commercial Driving School (CDL)
- Certificate of fictitious name filed with the Secretary of State that
was issued within the last five years or a Certificate of Incorporation
filed with the Secretary of State in the last year.
- A copy of the contract between the school and the student.
- A copy of the training curriculum if you are going to teach classroom
instructions.
- A copy of a valid certificate of insurance for each vehicle that will
be used for driving instruction.
- A copy of the vehicle registration listing the school name or school
owner as owner or lessee of the vehicle.
- An original FDLE report issued within the last 12 months for each owner,
partner, director, officer or principal stockholders.
- Must have an office location that is not attached to a residence.
- A certificate of occupancy or lease agreement.
- A completed commercial driving school application.
- Pay the required fees.
- Signed contractual agreement with the state.
